The Lifes2Good Foundation supports Bioregioning South East Ireland in its work to regenerate landscapes and communities across South East Ireland. Our multi-year funding commitment has helped unlock further investment from global funders like Commonland and the NoVo Foundation, strengthening the coalition behind this transformative initiative.
In the first half of 2025, Lifes2Good funding enabled BWAI to expand its team, offering a full-time, secure position to a Regenerative Business Developer—critical for attracting talent to the region. It also supported the development of Bioregional Basic Incomes and Infrastructure (BBIs), a bold new funding model designed to empower grassroots changemakers and build local resilience.
Thanks to this support, BWAI is now preparing to launch four BBIs, including initiatives focused on sustainable meat and grain processing infrastructure, and basic income pilots for community leaders. These efforts are attracting international research interest and laying the groundwork for evidence-based systems change.
This partnership reflects Lifes2Good’s commitment to long-term, place-based environmental and social regeneration. We’re excited to see how BWAI’s work continues to evolve and inspire bioregional approaches across Ireland and beyond.
